Antique Frame Replica
Local client contacted EVD to reproduce family heirloom mirror frame. Originally carved in wood the client was interested in reproducing the frame in a cast material to hold various uniquely finished mirrors. The final result is a detailed mold able to cast various materials reliably.

Original frame made of wood and supports a 24in by 36in mirror. Reproduced in plaster in intricate detail.
3 Layers of Silicone:
Paint-on soft durometer to capture fine detail and not air or debris.
Blue bulk silicone to build the mold and strengthen skim coat
White hard durometer silicone to reinforce peaks and delicate areas
Mother Mold
Hard plaster outer mold to secure soft silicone and cast form during operation
